Encaustic Art for Sale
This body of work uses an ancient technique of art called encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting. A mixture of heated beeswax and damar tree resin are used, to which colored pigments and other mixed media are added.
After working with metal and resin, I wanted to explore using more natural materials that could reflect the type of art I wanted to express. Many of the pieces created in encaustic are abstract reflections of animals, plants, energy patterns, and movements observed in nature.
